Having well trained staff and volunteers with up to date knowledge is vital to ensuring that your club, group or organisation runs safely and effectively for the benefit of all concerned.

The Step by Step Training Programme forms a key part of our work to support volunteers and staff that work with children and young people in the youth groups across the county.  In addition to the individual sessions listed we also offer 'All in a Day' one day Packaged training in core subjects which are ideal for getting new staff and volunteers up to speed in a timely and cost effective way.

Courses and workshops from the Young Kent Step by Step Programme are open to members and non members both from within and outside the voluntary youth sector and offer training in a wide range of subjects.  Sessions are facilitated by experts in their field to make sure that delegates are provided with the key information and skills they need to put training into action in the most positive and beneficial way.

Many of our courses take place during the evening or at weekends to make them more accessible for those working in the voluntary sector but we also offer weekday training for those who find this better for their needs.  We also offer bespoke training support for larger organisations who may prefer to have closed courses.
